I started out my photographic life about 20 years ago as a landscape photographer capturing the beautiful landscapes of the Southwest with a large format camera.  After a few years of that, I was invited on a wildlife photography workshop and I was hooked.  When I looked into the eyes of an animal I felt connected with their soul and I wanted to communicate with them.  I travelled all over the Western United States, and even spent some time in South Africa photographing wildlife.  I wrote a book titled "Amazing Wildlife of South Africa and the Western United States"  so people could learn more about wildlife and develop more of an appreciation of wild animals.  More and more, people asked me to photograph them and the important moments in their life, and that of course provided far more opportunity to related to my subjects.  I had the opportunity to provide them with photographic memories of their special moments. 

I studied with the New York Institute of Photography, and the Texas School of Professional Photography.  Also, I was fortunate to have had several gifted photographers in various fields serve as mentors.
